God of wholeness and hope:
Send Your Spirit of healing, that She may accompany our shepherd Pope Francis in his illness. As he endures pain and discomfort, give him strength and peace.
May he experience the continued grace of your mercy.
May your unconditional love comfort him and help him heal.
May his faithful and humble service continue to be a beacon of hope for each of us who continue to serve your Kingdom.
Through Your Son, Jesus, the great healer of all, we pray: AMEN.

Dear Families,
This week, we are praying for Pope Francis's speedy recovery following his hospitalisation with pneumonia.
Next week, we begin the season of LENT with the celebration of Ash Wednesday.
Pope Francis says Our life of faith is a journey of conversion.
Recalling the biblical Exodus of the people of Israel from Egypt to the Promised Land, the Pope reminds us that our lives too are a journey—one that should be directed toward God.
This journey is not merely a metaphorical one but involves a constant call to conversion, “to leave behind the occasions of sin” and situations that degrade our human dignity.
Pope Francis, therefore, urges the faithful during this Lenten Season to examine their own lives: are they actively progressing on the path of spiritual renewal or are they held back by fear and hopelessness or reluctant to move out of their comfort zone?
PUPIL FREE DAYS - please note there was a typo on one of the dates previously communicated. The date was incorrectly communicated as 31st October, the correct date is the 13th of October. This date has now been corrected, we apologise for any confusion.

Welcome Mass and Year 6 Blessing
Last Thursday we all, very excitedly, hopped on a bus and made our way to our parish church, where we celebrated the beginning of our school year with our School Chaplain and Parish Administrator, Fr Bing Monteagudo. Fr Bing welcomed us all and made special mention to our Kindergarten students and families. He also blessed our Year 6 leaders and presented our leadership badges with Mr Moloney. It was a beautiful mass and all students showed great reverence and respect in our church. Thank you to our families and parishioners who were able to join us.

Year 5 RENEW Learning
This week, we welcomed Mrs Helen Hunter, Education Officer from the Catholic Schools Office, to our Year 5 classroom where she did a special entry event with the students for their Religion unit - Jesus Through the Seasons.
The students explored 4 different groups of items and had to figure out what they are learning about this term. And they did! The students will explore the Liturgical Year and celebrate the presence of God in our lives and how this guides us to live according to the teachings of Jesus.
There were many interesting items for the students to explore and we thank Mrs Hunter for an engaging learning experience!

Harriett Johnston:
Harriett travelled to Tamworth to compete in the Polding Basket Trials. Harriett showed tremendous resilience and determination making it all the way to the possible and probables game, while showing great skill she unfortunately missed out on the final selection process. This is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of her success.
