Mini Macks
Last Friday, we welcomed our Kindergarten 2024 students to our Mini Macks transition program. During Week 1 the boys and girls brought their favourite teddy to big school and read the book ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’. The boys and girls settled nicely into routine and we were so excited to welcome them back for their second day today! Thank you to Mrs Rose and Mrs Bradfield for supporting and leading this successful transition program.
Year 5 Camp
Year 5 attended Camp Goodenough for a 3 day adventure camp, and what an adventure it was! Our students showed resilience, determination and respect as they tackled huge obstacles and their fears. I was very privileged to attend the camp with Year 5 and couldn’t fault their enthusiasm, care for each other and determination to complete the challenging activities they were faced with.
Coming up
Next week, we will have a visit from Questacon Science Circus, Year 5 are backing up to lead us in our All Saints Liturgy and we have the Richmond Summer Sports Trials for students who nominated. We are also beginning to plan for our Christmas Tableau and will invite families to a planning meeting in the coming weeks.
We farewell Mrs Sciascia today as she begins her maternity leave. We pray for the safe arrival of her little bub and wish her family God's blessings at this special time.
New Library
Our new library is coming along nicely! Thank you to Miss Aleisha and her many helpers who have worked very hard to set up our library and organise the hundreds of books we have been donated and purchased over the last year and a half.
