Catholic Schools Week 2024
Christian service puts faith into action. In Catholic schools, as we study and look to Jesus Christ as our role model and Teacher, we come to a greater understanding of the depth of Christian service. Jesus served every person regardless of creed, background, faith, social status or age. He put faith into action by showing all those around him how our Heavenly Father is compassionate, courageous and forgiving. Jesus didn’t just talk about His faith; He lived it.
We are called by faith to go into the world to share the love of God with all those we meet. Each person, at every age, is called to become Christ for another by serving every person with a humble heart and with a generous spirit.
Be the reason that someone encounters Jesus in our school and sometimes, only sometimes, use words to do it!

Attendance Matters
Expect your child to be at school every day. Today our school attendance percentage was 93.7%. Our target for every school day is 95%.
Setting the expectation for your child to be at school every day is a fundamental aspect of fostering a positive attitude toward education and establishing good attendance habits.
Clearly communicate to your child that attending school regularly is a top priority. If your child faces challenges related to attendance, such as reluctance or anxiety about going to school, address these issues promptly. Open communication with the school can help identify and resolve any underlying concerns.
You can seek advice free from NSW ParentLine 1300 1300 52.
No Parking and Drop Off Zone
Please be reminded that the area indicated in the image below is NOT to be used as a pick up, drop off or parking area. This is a signed designated no stopping area that allows clear view of the pedestrian crossing to keep our children and families safe.
Parking or stopping in the space can attract a significant fine and loss of demerit points.
Tell Them From Me Survey
Dear Parents and Carers,
Early next term (in Weeks 2 - 4), our school will be taking part in the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) student survey. The survey will provide us with valuable feedback on what our students think about school life, how engaged they are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with them.
In addition to the student survey (for students from Year 4 to Year 12), parents and carers and teaching staff will have the opportunity to participate in the TTFM survey.
The TTFM student survey is confidential, and staff in schools will not be able to identify individual students from their responses. To ensure confidentiality, participating students will receive a unique username and password. All information will be handled according to relevant privacy legislation.
Students’ personal information will not be disclosed by the school to any other person or body other than as required by law. Individual students will not be identified in any publications. The survey is conducted online, takes 15 to 30 minutes, and will take place at school during school hours.
We will receive a report on our school’s survey results shortly after our students complete the survey. The school will share with parents and carers key aspects of the survey results in a timely manner.
Participating in the survey is voluntary. If any survey questions make your child uncomfortable, your child can skip the question or can choose to stop the survey at any time. If you do not want your child/children to take part in the survey, please email Mrs Hague kristy.hague@lism.catholic.edu.au by Wednesday, 1st May 2024.
Mission News
This week we were so fortunate to celebrate 2 liturgies. The first of these was for the Feast of Saints Joseph and Patrick. We can learn so much from these humble saints.
Saint Joseph teaches us to be obedient to God’s will, be hardworking and humble, and to love our families unconditionally.
Saint Patrick teaches us to have a strong and unwavering faith in God, to help others even if they have hurt us, and to spread the word of God to as many people as we can.
Our liturgy was led by our wonderful Year 6 leaders and we were so grateful to have their families join us. The prayerful singing by our students was a real highlight of the liturgy,
Year 3 Palm Sunday Liturgy
This morning, Year 3 led us in a beautiful liturgy to celebrate Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter that begins Holy Week. It is the day that we remember and celebrate Jesus entering Jerusalem as Savior and King. As Jesus rode a donkey into the town of Jerusalem a large crowd gathered and laid palm branches and their cloaks across the road, giving Jesus royal treatment. The hundreds of people shouted "Hosanna" to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"
Thank you to Miss Jansen and Miss Sheridan for preparing the students. It was a very special way to prepare for Holy Week. Thank you to all our families who were able to join us and to our parents who helped us in our liturgy.
Year 3 - Holy Week Storytelling
This week Miss Sheridan shared Holy Week Storytelling with Year 3. Once the children heard the story they wondered about what they heard, and then reflected with some amazing artwork, highlighted below!
